GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) appointed Synkrona as technical consultant for the 1,000 Islands – Renewable Energy for Electrification Programme Phase 2 (REEP2) in Indonesia. The project focused on developing four key e-learning modules: (1) system planning with Variable Renewable Energy (VRE) integration, (2) energy storage systems and VRE technology, (3) smart grid implementation, and (4) distribution code compliance.

Synkrona’s comprehensive assignment included developing training curricula, syllabi, and interactive e-learning materials (videos and infographics), along with creating assessment tools. As lead technical trainer, Synkrona facilitated planning sessions and Training of Trainers (ToT) programs in collaboration with PPSDM KEBTKE and PT PLN. This initiative directly supported Indonesia’s ambitious goal of achieving 23% renewable energy in its national mix by 2025.
