PT Semen Indonesia (Persero), Tbk (SIG), as a strategic holding company of state-owned companies that providing building material solutions, has a plan of sustainability program to supports environment protection by implementing captive photovoltaic (PV) solar power plants from renewable energy to reduce electricity consumption from fossil energy to run the company’s production facilities. The photovoltaic solar power plant will be located on the assets owned by SIG or its subsidiaries.

This Solar PV Plant will be designed, funded, built, operated and maintained in collaboration with Strategic Partner(s) on a Build Own Operate (BOO) business scheme. The aim of the partnership are to achieve Zero Investment, Utilizing Unused Assets, and Cost Saving from a more efficient energy source. Therefore, Synkrona was appointed by SIG as a consultant to assist the tender process of the Strategic Partner(s) Selection from the Initial Analysis, RFP preparation, bidding stage, due dilligence to the awarding. The capacity of the Solar PV Plant to be developed in the SIG sustainability program is 7 MWac Rooftop PV, 25 MWac Floating PV, and 15 MWac Ground-Mounted PV each located in SBI Tuban, BU Tuban, and Semen Tonasa respectively.
