As we celebrate Indonesia’s National Electricity Day 2025, we reflect not only on Indonesia’s progress in electrification — but also on the work that remains ahead.
Today, millions of Indonesians still live without the privilege of reliable,24-hour access to electricity, especially in remote and island regions. Reliable power is more than convenience — it means better healthcare, education, productivity, and opportunity.
That’s why Indonesia’s ongoing de-dieselisation Program is so important.
Through this initiative, the Government of Indonesia, in collaboration with the Global Energy Alliance for People & Planet has appointed us, a consortium of strong Engineering consultants in renewable and sustainable energy — ITP Renewable Energy (ITP), Synkrona Enjiniring Nusantara (Synkrona), and Mosaic Risk Analytics (Mosaic) — is transforming diesel-based systems into renewable hybrid power plants built on solar PV and battery storage, to be hybrid with the existing diesel genset.
This transition is more than a technology shift — it’s about sustainability, ensuring every Indonesian can enjoy clean, reliable, and affordable energy.
It also supports the government’s bold initiative under President Prabowo Subianto — to develop 100 GW of Solar PV capacity nationwide — marks a historic leap in our clean energy transition. and Net Zero Emissions by 2060 — lighting the path toward a greener, more inclusive future.
On this National Electricity Day, let’s celebrate how far we’ve come — and stay committed to powering the future of Indonesia, together.
