Project Description

Over the past few months, Synkrona has successfully delivered multiple Grid Impact Studies (GIS) supporting the development of 𝟏𝟑𝟎 𝐌𝗪 𝐨𝐟 𝗪𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 and 𝟒𝟑 𝐌𝗪𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐒 projects in Sulawesi. These add to our growing portfolio – now totalling of 𝟐.𝟓 𝐆𝗪 of completed GIS assignments nationwide.

Our latest studies confirm that the Sulawesi grid can maintain reliable and compliant operations even with the addition of new wind energy assets. The integration of BESS enhances this robustness by helping manage wind variability and stabilizing the power system.

Previously, we introduced some common engineering terms, including GIS. A Grid Impact Study is essential to ensure that new power plants can be safely and efficiently connected to the electricity network. It allows developers, utilities, and regulators to make informed decisions based on technical performance and system readiness.
