Project Description

Oligo Infra Swarna Nusantara (Oligo), as the developer for the Waste to Electricity or Pengolahan Sampah menjadi Energi Listrik (PSEL) project in Tangerang City, appointed Synkrona to conduct Grid Impact Study (GIS) as part of the PPA process with PLN. The PSEL in Tangerang city itself was one of National Strategic Projects in Energy sector which will be developed using Public Private Partnership (PPP) or Kerjasama Pemerintah dan Badan Usaha (KPBU) between Oligo and Tangerang City Goverment. The planned PSEL plant total capacity is 35 MW that consists of 12 MW Biogas Plant in Rawa Kucing and 23 MWe RDF Plant in Jatiuwung.

Initially, both plants will be interconnected to Medium Voltage (MV) 20 kV network under UID Banten. However, due to capacity constraint, the plants then decided to be connected to PLN Jawa-Madura-Bali High Voltage (HV) grid via 150 kV Substations. Synkrona has successfully reach the objective of the GIS by analyzing the impacts of the plant interconnections to the PLN grid and mitigating any negative impacts, including evaluating the interconnection facilities required, as well as estimating the cost, to connect the plants to the grid. Hence, since the PSEL plant can connect to the PLN existing grid seamlessly, the PPA can proceed as the technical requirement is achieved.”
